WHAT TO EXPECT
How Invisalign works
Invisalign helps to align your teeth, correct relationships between your teeth or bite, and improve the aesthetic of your smile.
Misalignment between your teeth or bite is very common. Known technically as malocclusion, it can be caused by missing teeth, problems with the size or shape of the jaw, or chewing habits from childhood. Malocclusion refers to both misalignment with your teeth or with your dental arches as the jaw closes, and was traditionally treated with braces. Now, Invisalisgn is an effective, beautiful and convenient substitute for correcting smiles.
Model and scan
Your Invisalign treatment starts with a scan and model. We use an iTero 3D Scanner to capture an accurate 3D image of your smile, without the need for any physical moulds. The scanner’s sophisticated technology allows us to map your smile with precise accuracy, and calculate exactly the right amount of pressure needed to align each of your teeth, down to the tiniest shift.
Invisalign clear aligners
We then produce your clear aligners. Each aligner is trimmed to fit your mouth exactly, and are made from BPA-free, phthalate-free, compostable material. As you wear your aligners and your teeth straighten, we periodically assess developments with consultations at our clinic. At each review appointment, we will update your teeth models, so your next aligners reflect every modicum of progress.
After completing your Invisalign treatment, we will provide you with a set of retainers. Teeth have memory, and will often try to move back to their original positions. Wearing your retainers will help keep teeth in their new positions and preserve your beautiful new smile.
The cost of Invisalign will vary depending on your teeth and the treatment plan to align them. As a general guide prices ranges from $4500 – $6500
Pricing will depend on several factors such as the length of treatment required and how much tooth movement is required to straighten up your smile!

Yes, you can eat and drink whatever you want with Invisalign – just remember to remove your aligners first.
Unlike with braces, there are no restrictions on what you can eat and drink while straightening your teeth with Invisalign. But you must remove your aligner every time you eat or drink anything other than water. Good oral hygiene is important for protecting both your teeth and aligner. Make sure you brush your teeth after each meal, before reinserting your aligner, to maintain good oral health.
How often do I have to wear the aligners?
For best results, aligners should be worn at all times, except when eating, brushing and flossing. We recommend aligners to be worn for at least 22 hours per day. The more you wear your aligner, the better your results.
How do I clean my aligners?
Clean your Invisalign aligners at home using toothpaste, a soft toothbrush, and lukewarm water. Rinse the aligner under warm water, brush both the inside and outside using a soft-bristled toothbrush and toothpaste, and rinse again with warm water. Be careful not to use water that is too hot, or it can warp the shape of the aligner.
Tartar buildup is a common problem for Invisalign aligners. If you notice a cloudy white substance on your aligner, it may be tartar buildup. This is easily removed using Invisalign cleaning crystals, which are available to purchase from our clinic.
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
The length of your Invisalign® treatment will depend on the amount of movement required to straighten your teeth. We will give you an estimate of how long your Invisalign treatment will take at your consultation appoitnment. Typically it can vary anywhere from 2 months – 36 months.
